Monsieur Gillenormand
Monsieur Gillenormand is a wealthy man who lives in Paris. He is a widower and has two children, Marius and Cosette. Marius is his favorite child, and he spoils him rotten. Cosette is his adopted daughter, and he treats her poorly. He is a harsh and cruel man, and he often makes Cosette feel worthless. However, he does love her in his own way. He is a complex character, and it is difficult to say whether he is good or evil.
